Building a Foundation for AI Discovery: How I Reached Peak Performance

Recently I updated my website and wanted to see how the changes impacted its overall performance.
As the founder of Que Interactive, I have spent considerable time recently studying the shift in how information is discovered and consumed on the web. Search engines are increasingly becoming answer engines, and that means websites now have to speak clearly not only to the people visiting them but also to the artificial intelligence agents that move through our pages on a visitor’s behalf. In May of 2026 I completed a thorough overhaul of my own website to make sure it meets these new demands, with particular attention paid to the things that quietly slow a site down, including how fonts are delivered, how the styling is structured, and how images are compressed.
The results of that work speak directly to the standard that modern visibility now asks for, and you can see them in the performance report shown below.

The Metrics That Matter for Artificial Intelligence
When you look through the report, you will notice strong scores across every one of the categories that count. My site came back with a 99 in Performance, along with a perfect 100 in Accessibility, in Best Practices, and in the search fundamentals. The one I want to draw your attention to most is the perfect four out of four in the newer Agentic Browsing category.
That category looks at a specific question, which is whether an artificial intelligence agent can reliably read your site and work its way through it without getting stuck. Across roughly two decades spent as a technical consultant and solution architect, I learned that structural integrity is the prerequisite for any successful technology deployment, and the very same principle applies to a business website today.
It helps to clarify what that score actually measures. The four out of four is not a single grade, but four separate checks. Each one asks a different question about how ready a site is for an automated visitor.
The first is the one I touched on already. It looks at whether the underlying structure of the page is clean and complete enough to be understood without guesswork. This relies on the accessibility tree, which assistive tools have long depended on and AI agents now read in much the same way. If you have ever done careful accessibility work, this is familiar ground, and it is where most of the effort goes.
The second is the one I find genuinely new and the most worth naming: a check for valid WebMCP schemas. This is an emerging browser standard that lets a site openly declare the specific actions an AI agent is allowed to take. It allows the agent to call those functions directly, rather than working its way through the page trying to figure out on its own how to book a call or run a search. We are very early in all of this, and few sites have it in place. That is why I wanted ours to have it, and why I pointed it out.
The third check measures Cumulative Layout Shift. This ensures the page remains visually stable so an agent can parse it without the layout shifting unexpectedly as it loads.
The fourth looks for a file called llms.txt, a plain text summary a site can publish for AI systems to read. While early versions of the audit sometimes swapped page stability and llms.txt in this slot, the current standard now measures and requires both simultaneously. I want to be straight about llms.txt in particular, because there is an active and unsettled debate about how much any AI engine actually draws on it today, and to my knowledge none of the major ones have confirmed that they do. So I treat a clean, well formed version of it as the groundwork for where things might be heading, not as something I claim is already changing outcomes.

That points to the last bit of honesty regarding this post. Google still describes the Agentic Browsing category as in development and subject to change, so the exact checks behind that score will keep shifting as the underlying standards settle. I am comfortable showing it anyway, because passing every check the audit runs today is the right approach for a foundation built to stay a step ahead of the market.
Here is the part I want to be careful and honest about, because the distinction matters. A flawless foundation is not the thing that places your business inside an AI answer. What it does is make your business usable to an agent once that agent has already arrived, and it removes the structural reasons an automated system might otherwise give up on your page. Being surfaced and recommended in the first place is a separate matter, and it rests on things like your authority, how often credible sources reference you, and what is in the index the model is referencing. The foundation is what makes you eligible and easy to work with, and it is not, on its own, what does the recommending or what gets you discovered.
